switched on therapy

When you are struggling sometimes the most difficult thing is reaching out. If you reach out to me you will find an empathetic, caring person who is ready to work with you in a comfortable and confidential space.

There are many different types of counselling, at Switched on Therapy I work in a Pluralistic way. This means that I have trained in multiple modalities and believe that no single approach suits everyone. Pluralism means an openness to all perspectives and the belief that the client is the expert in their life. Only you can really know what you need to navigate this period of your life. I will make you feel valued and heard and sessions will be guided by your needs until you find a route through any struggles in your life.

“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them..”

— Maya Angelou

switched on hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy can be used to help a client take control of STRESS, reduce ANXIETY, help improve SELF-ESTEEM, and tackle FEARS and PHOBIAS.

I work in a client-centred way, taking your needs and modalities into consideration when forming a treatment plan specifically for you.

I understand that change can be daunting and I will work at a pace that suits you in order to unlock your true potential.

  • “When I first came to counselling I didn’t know what to expect, I had no previous experience with counselling and I found myself quite shy and reserved. After only a couple of sessions with Sophie I started to open up to her and the trust I felt with her was unexpected, I never thought I could be so open and honest with a complete stranger.”

  • “Sophie helped me understand myself more than I ever felt like I have before in my life. I truly can't thank her enough for the difference she has made to my life since losing my father.”

  • “She really helped pull my life back around and I really don't know where is be now if it wasn't for these sessions. I'm so much happier now coming out the other side of them, in what feels like a short year my life has completely turned around and changed for the better and I can't thank Sophie enough for that.”
